You'll find a greatroom decorated in a cheery beach motif, a fully stocked kitchen with new granite-topped cabinets, 3 flatscreen TVs with Roku, 2 bedrooms and a full bath. Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring Throughout. Sliding glass doors lead to a deck with Adirondack chairs, a perfect place to relax while studying the beautiful night sky. The heated saltwater pool with a tanning shelf and a pool deck with seating enhances your outdoor living space. Challenge yourself on the Holden Beach Fit Trail located just across the road. You'll find a hot/cold outdoor shower right outside your door, great for rinsing off before coming in for a fresh seafood dinner !!

This is a ground-level unit with no ocean view. From the Oceanside windows you will see the dunes. From the streetside window you will see the pool, the marsh, and the intracoastal waterway beyond. Your deck is furnished with bench seating, where you can relax atop the dunes while watching the ocean waves roll in. 2 BEDROOM, 1 BATH.  BR #1 King,   BR #2 2 twins  and a bunkbed (4 twin mattresses in this bedroom). 2 Adults Maximum.  Two children Maximum.

This pet friendly property allows one small dog (under 45 pounds) along with a $250 non-refundable pet fee.  It is important to note that no dogs are allowed in the pool.

Recent Updates

We are excited to announce installation of a saltwater pool for the 2022 season !

The pool is a generous 12 x 23 with plenty of decking for the both the upper unit and the lower unit to enjoy. We will have heating capability for the early spring and later fall rentals.  Heat must be requested at least 1 week prior to your arrival.

This pool will be open from Easter - October.  We will turn on the heater 24 hours prior to your arrival during April, May, Sept and Oct, with the understanding that outdoor weather conditions greatly affect pool water temperature.  Pool heaters cannot operate if the temperature outside is under 55 degrees

CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS. In the event there is a cancellation or a transfer of a confirmed rental for any reason, Owner must be notified in writing, email or fax. We will make every reasonable effort to re-rent the cancelled property. If the cancelled property is re-rented for the original lease amount, tenant will receive a refund of the payment made less $275, reservation fee, applicable taxes, elected fees and the trip insurance premium. Refunds will be made within 60 days after receipt of the first paid deposit due on new reservations, on same property, same rental period, and same rental rate; otherwise, no refund will be issued due to the availability of Travel Insurance. Any refunds due will be made to the leaseholder. We reserve the right to re-rent the property at a reduced rate on behalf of the property owner and to cancel overdue payment reservations without notification. About This House:

We purchased this home when our children were young. We used the 2 bedroom ground level unit ourselves and rented the 3 bedroom upper unit. Our children grew up and had children of their own. We'd outgrown our cozy 2 bedroom unit. We then put in a spiral staircase that connects the two units, so it can be used as one 5 bedroom home with two living areas and two kitchens during the peak summer season when large combined families vacation together. We have a lock out door and insulation for the stairwell that we put in place during the spring and autumn. We've rented our lower unit and the upper unit simultaneously to unrelated parties for many years now. We have no problems or complaints about this arrangement from our renters who choose our home. Offering both units for rent simultaneously allows us to price very competitively.

ABOUT BRINGING YOUR PET:
This pet friendly property allows one small dog (under 45 pounds) along with a $250 non-refundable pet fee. Any additional or larger pet(s) must be approved by property owner and may result in multiple pet fees. This fee is not to cover damages caused by a pet, but just covers the privilege of bringing them along on your vacation. Any cost resulting from damages, extra cleaning, fleas, odors, etc. that occur as a result from a pet being in a property will be deducted from your refundable security deposit.

-Please pick up any and all pet waste after your pet whether on or off the rental property.

-Puppies are not allowed.

-Nails must be clipped to avoid scratching damage.

-The pet MUST be on a flea program, and owner must be able to provide evidence of such program if required.

-The pet can NOT be left unattended.

-The pet is NOT allowed on the furnishings or in/on bedding, or in the pool.  Extra cleaning due to violations of this rule will be charged to you or to your security deposit.

-Pets are NOT allowed on the beach from May 20 to September 10, with the exception of the hours from 5:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Daytime during the summer season the beach is off limits to pets and fines may be given by beach patrol to anyone with a dog on the beach.

-It is the guest’s responsibility to report any problems or damages caused by their pet. Please see #14 on your Rental Lease Agreement.

Surveillance:  There are surveillance cameras located on the exterior of the property.  There are no cameras located inside the cottage.  The surveillance cameras overlook the parking areas, exterior entry doors and pool, and are installed primarily for deterrence and monitoring purposes when the property is not rented or is not occupied by the property owner.  Tampering with the cameras in any way is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal of all guests from the property and forfeiture of all amounts paid. 

 


ABOUT HOLDEN BEACH 
Welcome to Holden Beach, North Carolina, where family values and old fashioned fun are still a part of your vacation. Holden Beach has a very small commercial area on the island. That point is considered by many to be a key reason to keep them coming back year after year. While there are limited commercial establishments on the island, everything one could desire is located within a short driving distance.

The causeway leading to the island contains numerous specialty stores and shops, and the Town of Shallotte just 10 minutes away has several chain grocery and department stores that provide all the necessities. Wilmington and Myrtle Beach are only 35-45 minutes away and if you can’t find what you’re looking for there, it doesn't exist.

There are over 125 superb golf courses within a one-hour drive from Holden Beach. Courses range from very challenging to user-friendly for golfers who don’t always hit the ball where they want it to go. The Myrtle Beach area is perhaps the best region in the United States to find a course just right. Seasonal rates vary.

Boating, fishing and hiking the island are very popular activities. Shell hunters can find so many that the kids will fill up the car when they return home. The island is a sea turtle habitat and during the hatching season (May to October) those who don’t mind staying up late at night can witness one of nature’s most interesting pleasures – watching hundreds of small sea turtles "boil’ out of the sand and marching to the ocean.

There is no other North Carolina barrier island like Holden Beach. Low commercial impact, hundreds of beautiful rental homes (many with dockage for fishing and pleasure boating) and a wholesome family-oriented atmosphere.

Cancellation Policy: Sixty percent (60.00%) of the total booking charges (less $300.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 120 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. Fifty percent (50.00%) of the total booking charges (less $300.00 taxable cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 90 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 90 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed .Phone conversation with owner required for rental agreement and addendum, which must be completed and returned to owner within 48 hours of acceptance, or quote and reservation will be void. Weekly rentals check in on Saturday and Check out on Saturday. A $250 hold for damage deposit will be placed on your credit card 3 days prior to your arrival. 1/2 due at time of booking, final 1/2 of total is due 90 days prior to occupancy. Telephone conversation is required to gather information for rental personalized rental agreement. Signed agreement and addendum must be received within 48 hours or quote and reservation are voided. -Exceeding maximum capacity or bringing an undisclosed pet results in immediate eviction and loss of entire damage deposit.
